“ I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.” JOHN 10.10
One of our greatest aims at Father’s House is to provide help and comfort to those people who are suffering from any form of mental distress in their lives. We have come up with this phrase, “Giving Hope To The Hopeless” as a way of defining innumerable multitudes in our society who feel they are in a perpetual state of despair and hopelessness.

Christ Himself said, “I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.” (JOHN 10.10 NKJV).
Christ was the great physician who spent his time on this Earth healing and comforting multitudes of people. So we here at Fathers House seek to emulate His marvellous example by giving hope to those very people who feel that their lives lack any form of love or purpose.

If you feel you are one of these people or you have a family member or friend who you think experiences these kind of feelings then may I compel you to read on.
If you feel like you have given up all hope in life and feel that life is not worth living please don’t feel that you are all alone. If people and society has turned its back on you, please you are not alone but most importantly God has not turned his back on you and in fact he loves you more than you could ever imagine or comprehend. If this is true (and I certainly know it is) then imagine who exactly it is that DOES love you. Romans 8.31 says “If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Do you know who God is? He is the supernatural creator of the entire Universe who has existed from all eternity. (Psalm 93.2) He is all-powerful, knows absolutely everything and fills the heavens and the earth. (Jeremiah 23.24). There are hundreds of billions of Galaxies with each galaxy containing hundreds of billions of solar systems and yet God governs and upholds all of them!
But most importantly God loves you so much that He sent His One and Only Son to die for you!!! I think that this mysterious love is what God will demonstrate in your life every day if you really will believe in your heart the simple fact that God LOVES YOU.

We live in a very shallow and in my opinion a very false superficial society at the moment which is far more of a “I will get from you what I want” rather than a “I will give to you and help you out of love and consideration” society which I believe God would obviously want it to be. Think about this for a moment. God as well as being all-powerful is a supremely loving being who’s very law is based on immeasurable love and consideration of all His created beings and YOU are one of these very beings whom God wishes to bestow this very Love upon. If you truly feel right now that you are not alone and that absolutely nobody cares about you or loves you then I suggest you do three things.
1)Talk to someone, anyone, a parent, loved one or trusted friend.
2)Understand that God loves you unconditionally and that his love towards you will never change.
3)That there could soon be a very special Christ-centred church coming near you that will try and love all people as Christ would.
Personally I feel that the third option is the one to get excited about the most. I do not know the future, only God does. At the moment we are relying purely upon the grace and goodness of the Holy Spirit as He pours out His love upon our fallen world. But if God truly desires Fathers House Church to become a massive community outreach centre one day then friend I would definitely get excited!
It could really be what this country needs right now as it stumble toward an uncertain future.
Christ Himself said: “Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. For my yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11.28+30).

I do not feel that that was aimed purely at people with mental health difficulties. I think it was meant for all humanity. Jesus Himself is the “living water” which He offers to all of us. It does not matter who you are, weather you are rich or poor, popular or unpopular, a homeless beggar or a premiership footballer. God sees us has His children. Fathers House Church sees a future for everyone and will try to fulfil Christ’s command to “feed my sheep “

So is this what you would want from a Church? A church that will love everyone regardless of who or what they are or what they have done? A church where everyone can come together as a universal community of grace? As I said the future is the Lord’s but if this is meant to be it will be. God Himself says “Not by might nor by power? But by My Spirit.” Zechariah 4.6.

So if you feel alone right now and you think that there is no future for you, think again. God has a future for all of us, I do not feel that anyone has a right to be classified as a basket case, we are all God’s children. If someone has been putting you down maybe you might end up having the last laugh. I think that what we need right now is a new revival that will touch us down to the grass roots level.
If you are on the other hand someone who has been treating a vulnerable member of society badly then I don’t mean to be blunt mate but take a really good hard look at yourself!
Maybe God Himself will put you in your place as our Church really gets going. Things could be looking a little different somewhere down the line soon.

So friend there you go. What do you feel right now? Start to feel hopeful. Zechariah 9.12 says that we have to be “prisoners of hope”. How about you starting to feel like a prisoner of hope. It can be done.
Try it.
