ANNOUNCING THE GOOD NEWS OF THE WORLD TOMORROW



"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 15.15)

At Fathers House Church one of the many things we value the most is the opportunity to share the Good News of Salvation with other people. As you know these days there is an absolutely tremendous potential to reach the whole world with whatever you are trying to say. The market of mass communication through the media whether it be television, radio, Internet or pod cast, whatever it might be, is growing at an astonishing rate at the beginning of the this second decade of the 21st century. For the first time in history we are truly privelliged to be able to reach the entire globe within seconds by utilising the amazing technology that God has given us to use at this period in human history. So it is my pleasure to announce to all who presently visit our web site my new proposed idea for a new and refreshingly different Christian channel: "Millennium broadcasting Network. Announcing the Good news of the World Tomorrow. "Sounds interesting right? you may be reading this right now on your computer and thinking: " that sounds like a new episode of Doctor Who, the script writers have come up again with a nice new idea." But I can tell you reassuringly that this is not the latest Doctor Who episode but actually something that is inspired by a colossal event straight out of the pages of the Bible. If you are scratching your head and wondering what exactly I am talking about you had better read on.

As you may or may not know we have been broadcasting our message online now since January 2010. I can remember how excited I was by this new prospect and in the middle of that heavy snowfall on that dark and cold winter night. I began to visualise in my mind what could happen if God really is behind our ministry (as I'm sure He is). Of course this is certainly no the first time this sort of endeavour has been attempted. The two major Christian channels that I think everyone knows about are "Christian Broadcasting Network" (CBN) and "Trinity Broadcasting Network" (TBN). I believe that Millennium Broadcasting Network (MBN) could certainly rival these two enormous channels if that is what God intends. For instance CBN founder tel-evangelist Pat Robertson began broadcasting his message on a small radio station in rural Virginia, U.S.A in January 1960.
At that time he was lucky if he could reach beyond his neighbourhood let alone reach the whole world! But now God has grown CBN into a major media conglomerate that presently broadcasts to over 200 countries in more than 100 languages! When you consider what God is doing through outreach movements like CBN it makes you think could He do that also through another organisation? Could Millennium Broadcasting Network (MBN) be God's next chosen telecast or media ministry? If fate plays a part it seems very strange indeed that our web site started on exactly fifty years to the month (January 2010) since Part Robertson started broadcasting his message (January 1960), even though it was in drastically different surroundings in a new era on a different continent. So maybe God does have great things in store for our ministry! We think that MBN will have something extremely positive to give to the world.

Anyway onto the main thrust of my message: Why do we call it "Millennium Broadcasting Network"? and what is "this colossal event" straight out of the pages of the Bible? Well the word "Millennium" basically describes a period of one thousand years inspired by an old Latin word. No the word "millennium" does not appear in the Bible but in many places it refers to this very special period or epoch in which all nations of the world will finally discover peace, prosperity and true happiness that almost staggers the imagination. And the "colossal event"? That describes the second coming of Jesus Christ in power and great glory to establish his super one-world government over all nations, tribes and tongues of the earth for a thousand years. Read what it says in the 20th chapter of Revelation beginning in verse 1: "Then I saw an angel coming down from Heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he could deceive the nations no more.." Then read verse 4: "And I saw thrones, and they sat on them and judgement was committed to them..and they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years." So the millennium describes this period of complete utopia for a thousand years as Christ Himself in great power and glory disposes of the enemy by casting him into the "bottomless pit" so that he can "deceive the nations no more." Do you get the picture? Christ Who is now the all-powerful King of Kings and Lord of lords returns to this planet to rule over all nations in the Kingdom of God and to establish His perfect righteous rule. This is indeed the "Good News of the World Tomorrow." So if you are sitting at home right now worried about the future of mankind: "I thought an asteroid from space was going to collide with the earth"' "I'm worried that global warming will slowly destroy our planet", "what if aliens invade us like in the movie Independence Day and drain all our resources" or simply : "I always worried that one day we would just destroy ourselves in a nuclear World War Three." Stop worrying!
Mankind is going to survive well into the 22nd Century and BEYOND! So stop listening to all these so-called prophets of doom whether they be religious fanatics or scientists and environmentalists and listen to what God Himself says through His instruction Book. Jesus Christ will rule with the saints on this earth for a thousand years as He sets up His eternal Kingdom.

Okay so now you may be asking: "What is the future of humanity going to be like?" I'm sure you've seen all those slick science-fiction movies like "The Matrix","Blade Runner","Total Recall" or the more romanticised space operas like "Star Wars","Star Trek" or "Battlestar Galactica." These movies certainly offer a very interesting and elaborate vision of the future. But I think the ultimate future of mankind will be far more spectacular, wonderful and awesome than anyone can possibly imagine. Under Christ's rulership mankind shall certainly reach its ultimate potential. The breakthroughs in science, biology, technology, engineering and architecture will truly stagger the imagination and be totally beyond belief. Everyone will live to a vast age to such an extent that Isaiah himself said that a person a hundred years of age will be classed as a child!

All nations will be at total peace with each other and there will be no more wars or hate or famine or pestilence. Indeed mankind will experience its greatest period of utopia and peace and supreme happiness since the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden. Listen to the words of Isaiah: "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, the calf and the young lion and the fattling together, and a little child shall lead them. The cow and the bear shall graze, their young ones shall lie down together and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. The nursing child shall play by the cobras hole and the weaned child shall put his hand in the vipers den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain. For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea." (Isaiah 11.6-9 NKJV). The earth will turn into such a paradise that even the animals and all of nature shall be totally at peace! There will be perfect peace throughout the whole earth as Jesus Christ rules over all mankind with His chosen saints. During His millennial rule, the whole world will be turned into an Edenic paradise as human beings discover who and what they would have become if Adam and Eve had never sinned. Undreamed of potential shall be newly realised as humans under the direction of Christ begin to utilise their true powers of mind and spirit.

So then how will Christ's super government actually be administered? The prophet Micah gives us a clue. "Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lords house shall be established on the top of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills, and peoples shall flow to it. Many nations shall come and say: "Come and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord to the house of the God of Jacob, He will teach us His ways and we shall walk in His paths." For out of Zion the law shall go forth and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He shall judge between many peoples and rebuke strong nations afar off, They shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore." (Micah 4.1-3). So there we have it. We know that God's chosen nation of Israel shall once again rise to world prominence with Christ's administrative centre established in the holy city of Jerusalem. I must admit it does seem strange that the tiny Middle-Eastern state of Israel could become such a powerful nation in the World Tomorrow when for example right now we see massive new Superpowers such as the Peoples Republic of China having such a powerful impact on our world. Yet under Christ Israel will once again become a massive world power. All nations will be ruled under the all-powerful Son of God as His saints govern under Him and restore peace and prosperity to all tribes and kindreds of the earth. So this is indeed the "Good News of the World Tomorrow."

Just before we finish you may be asking "what happens after the millennium?" After the millennium after the various resurrections we read in 1 Corinthians 15.24: "Then comes the end when He delivers the Kingdom to God the Father when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power." When Christ's millennial reign ends then comes the final eternal phase of God,s kingdom when the whole universe as we know it will be destroyed and then God will create a new universe with a new earth, the Bible describes this as "the new heaven and the new earth" as found in the 21st chapter of Revelation beginning in verse 1. The new eternal Jerusalem will descend out of heaven and will become the capital, on the New Earth, of the entire universe. This is where all God's redeemed will spend eternity. So with all this in mind you can truly look forward to a wonderful future. This I hope is the very message that Millennium Broadcasting Network will proclaim.

MBN we hope could become a massive global outreach ministry if that is indeed God's intention. Pat Robertson's CBN as well as the more glitzy TBN have both achieved the very status that we hope here at Fathers House, MBN could attain. I have this wonderful inclination that MBN could function as a kind of conglomerate with perhaps several affiliate stations under its umbrella both in television, radio or Internet. MBN could offer a plethora of different programming with first of all more orthodox programs like Bible seminars, church services, teaching projects and Bible presentation series. Then it could aim for a far wider less specialised audience and go into family entertainment. Even like a kind of religious Walt Disney channel! We could have a family channel that could screen all sorts of family favourites without all the profanity which unfortunately pollutes most mainstream secular television. We could have a variety of programs for children and teens with special movies, animation programs and chat-shows or even 24-hour counselling. How about showing some old family favourites such as "Little House on the Praire", "Highway to Heaven", even classical old Western series such as the long-running "Gunsmoke" and who knows maybe even some John Wayne western movies! I think the ever popular Narnia series would also go down well with MBN programming.
So with all this in mind I think MBN could possibly offer something for everyone. And music? Yes there will be lots of music from contemporary Christian music to gospel and even some Christian rock anthems! As they say: "stay tuned."

I hope right now if you have been reading this that you are at least a little excited. I am! MBN is basically a channel that aims to see broken people made whole and happy again and ultimately to fulfil Christ's command to "go out into all the world" to teach the gospel to "all nations."
