ITS TIME TO BELIEVE
I don't know were you are in your life at the moment or what you are going through. Huge multitudes of people in this world are going through an equally huge multitude of different circumstances and dilemmas and problems. It dosen't matter what background you come from or what race or nationality you are, what job position you hold or indeed what religion you profess to believe in. You may have found yourself in a certain situation where you happen to have been in for most of your life, whether that is a serious illness or an unfortunate position in life, whether that is a serious illness or an unfortunate position in life or any situation that you thought could never ever change. Perhaps right now you are feeling suicidal and think that life is not worth living, whether you are dealing with drug addiction or whether you are suffering from a form of mental illness that has severely impaired you for many many years. Maybe you are facing chronic or reactive depression due to certain events in your life and have been to see consultant psychiatrists who have merely put you on medication or have referred you to various day-centres or councillors and you have found that absolutely none of these have worked. Am I right? or maybe you once had a dream to do something with your life whether it be a certain career or vocation, or you dreamed of setting up your own business but the time simply was not right and you found yourself extremely disappointed, thinking that it was all over for you. Maybe you have relationship difficulties or have a family situation that you have simply given up on and you are feeling very discouraged and downhearted right now. As I said before we find ourselves in a myriad of different situations where we find ourselves dealing with any given problem or dilemma in life. Circumstances in your life have pushed you back time and time again so much so that now you have given up and have that attitude, "Well that's my lot in life and thats it. Its not my fault that it didn't work out but whatever the case im finished and my life's over." Is that how you feel?
Well the good news is-maybe "its not it." In fact perhaps this could now be the start of a whole new chapter in your life, a new epoch if you like, where your whole life could simply turn around.

The really good news is that God is your ultimate vindicator and that He can turn any situation around regardless of what it is or who has upset you.

We at Fathers House Church believe very strongly indeed in helping people to rebuild their lives. In fact we see ourselves as almost like a hospital where broken, hurting people can come to our Church and be fed and healed, despite who they are or what they have done. It doesn't matter whether you are a drug addict, a prostitute, an ex-convict, a criminal, whether you are suicidally depressed or terminally ill or simply a young person who has lost all hope in life-Fathers House Church is there for you and will help you. Perhaps I should coin that old phrase that we as a Church hope to go "where no Church has gone before." So it doesn't matter who you are or what you have done, fathers House hopes to serve you and reach out ultimately to the whole world one day. Maybe right now is indeed the time to get really excited about the future as I personally feel that God has a few surprises in store for a lot of people!
Its time to believe my friend.

So as I said before just because your life has been a certain way for a very long time, it does not necasarilly mean it will be that way forever. Out of interest have you ever told God how you feel about your life or the people who are in your life?
I think a lot of people have this perception about God that He is not interested in their day to day lives on this earth and that He is only interested in them in the afterlife. But the truth is God is hugely interested in your daily life and has a very very intimate knowledge indeed about your time on this earth. Even before the foundation of the world God knew you and had perfect knowledge of your future life. Listen to Psalm 139.16: King David of Israel says regarding this: "Your eyes saw my substance being yet unformed. And in your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them." So David knew that God had a destiny for him to fulfil on this earth. Listen also to what God says to the prophet Jeremiah about his divine destiny: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I sanctified you, I ordained you a prophet to the nations." Jeremiah 15. So the truth is God has the final say in your life not anyone else, not any boss or aquiaintance or Psychiatrist or counsellor or even any friend or family member. Just tell God how you feel about your life, just give Him all your pain, all your disappointments, all your grief and all your dreams, all your desires and what you long for the most even the things you haven't told anyone about. Try this every day at least once. The truth is God has a tremendous purpose for your life, a divine destiny for you to fulfil right now and no one has the right to tell you that you are finished or washed up or label you a basket-case. The Supreme God of the universe has you in the palm of His hand and He promises you that He will restore you and heal you and promote you. The apostle Paul describes something very exciting indeed about this in Ephesians 2.7 about how God wants to work miracles in our lives and kind of show us off to the unbelieving world. Paul says: "He did this that He might clearly demonstrate through the ages to come the immeasurable limitless, surpassing riches of His Free grace, His un-merited favour in His Kindness and goodness of heart toward us in Christ Jesus." (Ephesians 2.7 Amplified Version). When you think about this Paul inspired God, wrote those words "ages ago." The time Paul speaking about was most probably the time we are living in now which is in "the ages to come."! My friend get excited about your life, start to look forward to your future in eager anticipation. I don't believe for one second that you have to be sick for the rest of your life, or feel lonely, anxious or afraid for the rest of your life. When Jesus would heal somebody, He would often ask the relatives of the person He was about to heal "How long as he been like this?" or "How long as she been like this?"
In other words Jesus knew that everything in this life is temporary and that any situation no matter how long it had lasted or how overwhelming it appeared to be was in fact passing away suddenly and swiftly. If you are feeling depressed right now or suicidal and you have suffered mental health issues that have impaired you for many years or even decades and you have been through it all: counsellors, psychiatrists, day centres, medication etc and none of it has worked and you are saying to yourself. "I've had it, none of these things have worked, I suppose I'm just going to be like this for the rest of my life." Thats simply not true. Go to God and tell Him how you feel. The Bible says that "we can come boldly before the throne of grace and "obtain mercy" from our heavenly High Priest who "in all points was tempted as we are." (Hebrews 4.15 16).

Get in agreement with God. Jesus said if we believe "all things are possible" and "if we have faith the size of a mustard seed we can say to this mountain move from here to there be uprooted and plant yourself in the sea and it will do so." Thats a lot of power to believe!
Jesus also said: "According to your faith let it be to you." (Matthew 9.29)

Listen to these words that Jesus spoke in the Sermon on the Mount: "Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives and he who seeks finds and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!" (Matthew 7.7-11). Have you ever really told God how you feel and asked to be healed whether it be physically or mentally? A tremendous number of people i feel have perhaps never asked God for help in their lives or have gone to Him asking to be healed and yet don't actually believe that He will heal them. Start to believe. Or maybe you are in a very very difficult situation right now and you drastically need help. Go to God. You might be surprised, after all He knows everything about you and your situation and believe me God has you in the palm of His hand. Maybe there is something you want with all your heart, something that you have looked for time and time again and never found it. Whatever it may be you may be thinking: "I'm never going to have this, I'm not meant to be happy." Go to God, tell Him what it is you want. Jesus said as I told you that your Heavenly Father knows how to give good gifts to His children. It says in Psalm 37.4: " Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." Also in Psalm 84.11: "No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly."

I don't know right now what you are going through in your life. Maybe you are attending a day centre for people with mental health difficulties and you are being looked after by staff who instead of helping you are actually hindering you by patronising and condescending you and telling you what you can't do. They're telling you in effect "Look at you your just a vulnerable basket-case with no hope in life, your never going to be well, your never going to do anything with your life." Or they might be telling you: "You will never have a girlfriend or boyfriend, you will never get married because your stupid and ugly and no-one will have you anyway. Just keep taking your tablets because if you do you'll just be kept under and you'll be too drowsy to be interested in anything, anyway."
If this is whats being spoken over you all I can say is "How dare they! How dare they speak to you or treat you like this!" Perhaps you have also given up fighting your illness because other service-users have died, perhaps many of them have died of physical illnesses or other complaints no doubt brought on by years and years of so-called "prescribed medication."
You may be thinking: "I've lost so many of my friends. One day I'll be like them and I'll be dead in just a few years like they are." Friend don't believe those lies for one second. You will not die. You are going to live. Believe what God is saying to you. He says that you have a wonderful, long and amazingly abundant and fulfilling life in front of you, with seeds of greatness that were placed inside of you before time began. Hold your head up high. You are a child of the Creator of the universe Who has placed omnipotent power in you to enable you to live a life of victory and no-one can take that away from you. Listen to what Paul says in Ephesians 3.20: "Now to Him Who by in consequence of the action of His power that is at work within us, is able to carry out His purpose and do superabundantly, far over and above all that we dare ask or think, infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes or dreams." (Amplified Version).
Don't listen to lies! If you are sick right now prepare to get well. If you are at a day-centre or anywhere else where people might be speaking lies and defeat over you say to yourself: "I might be here at this moment in my life, but I'm not going to be here forever. One day God will vindicate me and give me a life truly worth living with all power to fulfil my divine destiny" as Ephesians 3.20 says just above. Memorise Ephesians 3.20 as I have quoted it here and say to yourself "I'm going to have an "Ephesians 3-20 life, " where God will take me to places I have never dreamed. Ask God to supernaturally restore your life, to supernaturally heal and deliver and empower you. Jesus said "all things are possible when you believe." Its time to get your life back now.

God is giving your life back to you right now a new dawn is breaking. Read Deuteronomy 1.11: "And may the Lord, the God of your ancestors multiply you a thousand times more and bless you as He promised!" (New Living Translation). How about a thousand times a better life in your future where God can truly bring happiness, joy, health and peace into your life! Start to believe.

So there you go. God is offering you a new life. Also remember my friend that Fathers House Church could one day be right down the road from where you live, now isn't that something to look forward to? Start to enjoy your life and look forward to a new dimension of living that God has planned for you to enter into. With God's help begin to prepare to get healthy, whole and happy again and seek His blessings every day.
